It is clear to all who read and enjoy Falconers’ work why he is the premier distopian fiction author. Many thanks! Cannot wait for the next volume in the series...
I really loved these books! I have been reading post apocalyptic and sci-fi novels almost exclusively for several years now, as it is my new favorite genre. This is a really well written book, and you can tell the author did a lot of research to make sure this book was accurate. The opening scene is at the first televised government sanctioned public execution, and we are seeing it through the eyes of the bereft and loving husband. As soon as the execution takes place, and ends his world as he knew it, the American peoples world, unbeknownst to them, also starts the clock ticking on the beginning of the end. Although we know who is behind implementing it, there is an unknown much bigger player that has ordered the "apocalypse." There are many VERY interesting people we meet along the way, and the author does very well in making you really feel sorry for and like (most of) them. I read the first book in a few days, and I immediately devoured book 2. The second Redfall book was a really good book as well. The story is moved along great, and we got lots more back stories on all of the key characters. I will be anxiously awaiting the 3rd book in the series!

I read these 3 books while on a 21 day cruise. Excellent page turning books. I was entertained.
I got this book free for an honest review. The author writes a very bleak, dark future dystopian world for us. The story ous riveting and I became engrossed in our heroes and villains. The future is possible this way or not. It's up to you to decide.
My kind of writing, very suspenseful, and I couldn't stop listening. Jay Falconer is an amazing novelist. I'm going to get his other novels.
Excellent story! GOOD PLOT WITH an active cast. Some minor gore but lots of action. Very good twists and a totally corrupt government of course.
